70697 Driver Side Power Steering Pump Bracket Kit

This bracket kit is for mounting a GM style power steering pump with integrated clip-on reservoir to the driver side Windsor cylinder head. This works on 302 and 351 based engines. The fore/aft positioning of the pump works with 1987-1993 Mustang 5.0 pulleys. If you are contemplating adding power steering to your Windsor powered car and you are presently running a passenger side alternator and an idler pulley on the driver side then this is the kit for you because the pump simply replaces the idler pulley. The high and inboard position maximizes belt contact with the crank pulley while keeping clear of the steering shaft, lower radiator hose and mechanical fuel pump if installed.
