70752 Cockpit Storage Cubby Kit for Mk4 Roadster

This kit provides an aluminum panel that divides the upper trunk of the FFR Mk4 roadster, creating a front section that is accessed through a hole cut in the upper rear cockpit wall. This turns a typically unused area of the trunk into a large and convenient cockpit storage cubby. This area can be used to store jackets, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera blankets, bags, purses, notebooks, water bottles etc. Vinyl edge trim is provided to finish the access hole in the cockpit wall. The divider panel comes with a flange pre-drilled for riveting to the cockpit floor. Loose brackets are provided to secure the ends of the panel, because the trunk side walls may not be exactly 90 degrees to the floor or consistent from car to car. The top of the panel is trimmed with included press-on edge-trim bulb-seal.
Notes: Can be installed in completed cars, although it is much easier during initial assembly or with the body off.
Does not fit Mk1 roadsters due to the wider upper trunk area.
Does not fit Mk2 – Mk3.1 Roadsters due to the lower rear body height of the Mk4 Roadster.
